Author Guidelines
Important: Before submission, please ensure your manuscript is prepared using the journal's official template (download template). This will ensure efficient processing and timely publication. Any manuscript that does not comply with the template requirements will not be processed. Authors are also required to read the author guidelines and plagiarism policy carefully, or the manuscript will be automatically rejected.
General Writing Requirements
Manuscripts submitted to Arkara: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat must present original research findings or review studies that have not been previously published in any medium. Submissions must be scholarly in nature and contribute new, current, and relevant knowledge to the field. Accepted file formats are DOC, DOCX, or RTF.
Manuscripts must be written using Cambria font, with a size of 12 pt for the main body text and 11 pt for the abstract. Line spacing should be set to 1.15, formatted on A4 paper. The manuscript length must be a minimum of 8 pages and a maximum of 18 pages, with margins of 3 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right).
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system (OJS). Author names should be written without academic titles and placed directly below the article title. Each author must provide an email address, with one author clearly designated as the corresponding author.
Manuscripts may be written in either Indonesian or English. However, regardless of the language chosen, the abstract must be provided in both languages, written as a single continuous paragraph. The article title must be written in capital letters, bold, centered, and must not exceed 15 words.
The general structure of a research-based article includes the following components: title; author name(s) with institutional affiliation; email address; abstract (150–250 words covering objectives, methods, and results); keywords; introduction (including background, a brief literature review, and research objectives); research method; results and discussion; conclusions and recommendations; and references (limited to cited works only).
References should preferably come from the past 10 years and prioritize primary sources such as peer-reviewed journal articles or scholarly publications. Citations and references must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th Edition style. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Endnote, Zotero, or similar software.
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a review process conducted by editors and peer reviewers according to their respective areas of expertise. Authors will be given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts based on the feedback provided. The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection will be communicated through the OJS system.
All matters relating to permissions, including the use of software or copyrighted materials, are the sole responsibility of the author(s).
Manuscript Structure
All manuscripts submitted to Paedanomia must adhere to the following systematic structure:
1. Title
The title should be concise, clear, and accurately reflect the content of the community service activity. The title must not exceed 15 words. It should be typed in Cambria font, 14 pt, bold, and centered on the page.
2. Author Information
The author's name(s) should be placed directly below the title using Cambria font, 11 pt, without academic or professional titles. Author names must be written in full and should not be abbreviated. Below the author's name(s), provide the area of expertise, institutional affiliation, institutional address, and the corresponding author's email address.
3. Abstract
The abstract must be written in both Indonesian and English. However, manuscripts written entirely in English require only an English abstract. The abstract should be presented in a single paragraph and should not exceed 250 words. It should briefly describe the objectives of the community service activity, the implementation methods, and the outcomes achieved. The abstract must be typed in Cambria font, 11 pt, 1.0 line spacing, and italicized.
Keywords consisting of 3–6 relevant terms should be provided below the abstract. Keywords must be separated by semicolons (;).
4. Introduction
The INTRODUCTION heading should be written in uppercase letters, bold, using Cambria font, 12 pt. This section should explain the background of the problem, the urgency and rationale of the activity, relevant literature review, proposed problem-solving strategies, and the objectives of the community service program. The main text should be typed in Cambria font, 12 pt, with 1.15 line spacing.
5. Method
The METHOD heading should be written in uppercase letters, bold, using Cambria font, 12 pt. This section should clearly and systematically describe the procedures and stages of implementing the community service activity, including the approaches, techniques, instruments, target participants, and evaluation methods employed. The text should be written in Cambria font, 12 pt, with 1.15 line spacing.
6. Results and Discussion
The RESULTS AND DISCUSSION heading should be written in uppercase letters, bold, using Cambria font, 12 pt. This section presents the outcomes of the community service activity, such as improvements in knowledge, skills, attitudes, behavior, or the development of products and innovations. The level of achievement of the program objectives should be clearly explained.
If the output is a product, its specifications, strengths, and limitations should be described. Results may be supported by tables, figures, photographs, charts, graphs, or other relevant illustrations.
The discussion should be organized according to the objectives of the activity and should provide logical interpretations of the findings. The results should be linked to relevant theories, previous research findings, and similar community service activities conducted by other parties.
7. Conclusions and Recommendations
The CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS heading should be written in uppercase letters, bold, using Cambria font, 12 pt. This section should summarize the key findings of the community service activity and provide answers to the problems and objectives formulated in the introduction. Recommendations should highlight possible applications, improvements, or follow-up activities that may enhance future community service programs. The text should be typed in Cambria font, 12 pt, with 1.15 line spacing.
8. Acknowledgments
It can be used to acknowledge funding sources, granting institutions, or other contributors not listed as authors. Include the research contract number, if applicable. The text should be typed in Cambria font, 12 pt, with 1.15 line spacing.
9. References
The REFERENCES heading should be written in uppercase letters, bold, using Cambria font, 12 pt. References must comply with the following requirements:

All references listed must be cited in the manuscript, and all in-text citations must appear in the reference list.

The reference list should contain only sources that are actually cited in the article.

Most references should be drawn from scholarly publications published within the last ten years.

At least 80% of the references should come from journal articles, conference proceedings, or research reports.

A minimum of 15 references is required.

Citations and references must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th Edition style.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure consistency and accuracy in citation and referencing.
The entire manuscript should be typed using Cambria font, 12 pt, with 1.15 line spacing.
